Fast and Twisty Roads

6 minute driveSW 175th Ave.

"This road provides both a quick and fun route between central Beaverton/Aloha and Scholls Ferry/Roy Rogers road. This road runs over Cooper Mountain on the southern edge of Beaverton. There is about a 500 foot elevation change, and one tight corner on the southern approach. The flat portions atop the mountain have rolling hill crests, and a 4-way stop. The northern/Beaverton side of the hill is a very steep and long grade, so use of engine braking would be advisable.  The road surface is in okay shape overall. There are some cracks in the asphalt in some places, but not on the driving line. The same goes for a few small potholes, they are very small and passable even for cars with very low ride heights or low profile tires. There are also a few sewage/water line mini-manholes located on the center line on the southern approach, but they are not very large and are largely avoidable."
