"Paulina Lake Road has tremendous potential but is often busy with campers, fisherman, and general slow-movers which, given the lack of passing lanes, can make "Fast and Twisty" just, well, twisty. If you're lucky enough to not have traffic you're in for a real treat --- dozens of hard lefts and rights and big sweepers wind you up (or down) the mountain on the way to the lakes. If you don't want to pay you can turn around at the scenic outlook, have a nice look at the Three Sisters, and head back down. "
